I bought this beautiful item as a gift for my daughter. The item description in terms of condition was accurate. But, to call this a "lamp base" is being generous. It is actually a middle piece for a lamp. In order to make this into a lamp that will stand up, I have had to purchase a base upon which this gorgeous ceramic piece can sit. Overall I am happy with my purchase.
